Deciding to change your lifestyle, is not always an easy thing. There are many factors to consider and often, just thinking about it can seem daunting. I find that changing how you view your stages, can help. Here are my top 10 tips to make the transition less of a chore.
- Go food shopping, to make sure that you have all the ingredients and produce you will need for the week.
- Once you decide to change, commit and go for it.
- Try not to buy products that contribute to your struggle.
- If you have children, substitute their ‘treats’, for something that you can enjoy with them.
- If you don't already have some, buy food containers, to take your own lunch to work.
- Decide and commit to not ‘snacking outside the home’. For example; don’t pop into corner shops for chocolate, or bakeries for a quick snack. Carry your own, home made juice, or water with you. Take home made snacks (carrot/cucumber sticks etc) with you, if you think you may get hungry whilst out and about.
- Don’t be afraid to say ‘No thank you’, if offered something that contributes to your struggle.
- If applicable, let family and friends know you are ‘cleansing and healing ‘ your body and ask them to support you. This means basically knowing that they will not buy/offer you things that may set you back, or put you in situations that may do so.
- Don’t ‘mean’ yourself. If you really, really want something, have it. Just try not to let it become the ‘norm’ and know what you going to do, to keep yourself on track.
- Give yourself a break. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself for being human. Be realistic and appreciate your successes.
On a side note, try to incorporate a little exercise every day. A little goes a long way, if it’s consistent.
