Did You Know???

Caffeine comes in many forms, from your favorite chocolate box, to a delicious tasting dessert., not to mention your morning cappuccino/espresso. The amount of caffeine in each one, varies greatly and it doesn't automatically follow, that a cup of coffee will have more caffeine, than a cocoa rich bar of chocolate.

But did you know, that caffeine, being a nerve stimulant, triggers an immune response to counteract it, in an attempt to 'remove' it from the body?  The energy 'kick' that you experience, after drinking your favorite cup of coffee, is the body releasing Adrenalin and Cortisol, to counteract the caffeine and is not a direct result of the coffee itself!

For every cup of  caffeinated beverage that you drink, the body has to 'produce and circulate' about 2-3 cups of water, to remove the stimulants from your system...quite costly, for our precious water reserves.
This repeated cycle and process, inevitably leads to....dehydration!

This applies to anything that contains a stimulant, including 'energy' drinks and 'energy' bars.
