Do we need willpower?

Willpower can be described as : The ability to delay gratification and resist short-term temptations to meet long-term goals.Indirectly, the self regulating the self.  We all have willpower, it is just that some are more readily embracing it than others...or some are more willing to use it than others.  It is true, that only we can regulate ourselves and it is the will to to so, that helps or hinders our journey to better health.
